Delbert E. (Harmon) Snoberger

Del Snoberger, 76, died peacefully September 21, 2023. Del was born April 26, 1947 in Hastings, Nebraska. He grew up on a farm and attended elementary school in Trumbull, Nebraska. He transferred to Hastings to attend junior high school and high school. He graduated Hastings High School in 1965.

He attended University of Nebraska in Lincoln and graduated 1969 with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance. He was a member of Beta Theta Phi fraternity. In college, he joined the ROTC. After college, he went on to enlist in the U.S. Army from 1969-1973 as a Lieutenant where he went to Officer Training and Helicopter School. He served a tour of duty in Vietnam where he was awarded a Bronze Star. He was a Captain when he was honorably discharged in 1973.

Del had a Master's Degree in Management from the American College in Pennsylvania. He also earned his CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) and ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) designations.

He had a 32 year career in the insurance industry working for Prudential Insurance (seventeen years), Aetna Health Plans, Blue Cross Blue Shield Texas, and CommunityCare. In retirement, he continued to work part-time for Ameritrust Investment Advisors.

Del enjoyed playing golf & tennis. He was a second degree black belt in Tae kwon do. He loved traveling. He was an active member of the Rotary Club of Tulsa and Vice President of the Oklahoma Cornhusker Club.

Step brothers - Tom Snoberger (spouse, Terry), David Huber (spouse, Dee), and Don Huber
Step sisters - Terri Miller, Diana Sears, Debra Hahn (spouse, Allan)
Step mother - Ollie Harmon Griess
Many nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews.
