Dempsey Hoffman, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on October 24, 2026, leaving behind treasured memories for all who knew and loved him.

Born in Weatherford, Texas, on July 27, 1937, to Nora and Ralph Hoffman, Dempsey was the oldest of six boys. He will be remembered for his love of family, his gift for bringing people together, his generous spirit, his legendary cooking and portion sizes, and his unwavering loyalty to the dogs who were never far from his side. He also enjoyed a good margarita, best enjoyed in the company of family and friends. His laughter and the memories he created will live on through the many people whose lives he touched.

He began his career with Hale-Halsell, which, through a series of acquisitions, ultimately became EDS, where he retired. After retirement, he joined his wife Linda's company, Carpenter Metals, where he worked alongside her for the remainder of her life.

Dempsey was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Hoffman, and his brothers, Leroy and Larry.

He is survived by his children, Cindy Cook of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Anthony Hoffman of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Melody Rager of Fishers, Indiana; his grandchildren, Jestine, Taylor, Bailey, Jordan, Catie, Haydn, and Cole; and numerous great-grandchildren and extended family members who will carry his memory forward.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.

May Dempsey rest in peace, reunited with his beloved wife and loved ones who went before him-with a big kitchen, plenty of hungry guests, a margarita in hand, a Cowboys game on TV, and a faithful dog waiting by his side.
