Obituary

Dennis Michael Wilson passed from this life on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. He was born April 16, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Howard and Jean Wilson; one of five children. Both parents predeceased him. Those that survive Dennis and hold many cherished memories of him include: sister and brother-in-law, Christy and Scott McKenna of Reading, PA; twin sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Tom Bayless of Tulsa, OK; sister, Sandy Wilson of Tulsa, OK; brother and sister-in-law, David and Francie Wilson of Chandler, OK. Beloved nieces and nephews include: Machree McKenna of Portland, OR; Julia McKenna of Portland, OR; Nadia McKenna of Grants Pass, OR; Ethan and Hanna McKenna of Portsmouth, NH; Carol and JD Rhodes, daughters Madison Rhodes and Brooklyn Rhodes of Owasso, OK; Susan and Brian Moon, children Samantha Moon and Michael Moon of Owasso, OK; David Bayless of Tulsa, OK; Daniel and Sara Bayless (baby girl, River due in February) of San Diego, CA; Jeannette and Thomas Hufford of Broken Arrow, OK.

Dennis was a source of strength and stability for our family, always willing to help physically, financially or otherwise. His great love for us was demonstrated by taking care of Mom, hosting barbeques, 4th of July celebrations, Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas Day festivities and building a fabulous playhouse for the nieces and nephews. He was a totally awesome son, brother, and uncle.

Dennis had lots of talents and interests: he was an artist, could sing, play the guitar and piano. He worked tirelessly in the yard, grew beautiful flowers; loved driving his red Toyota Tacoma truck but especially enjoyed playing with and walking his lab "Glory".

Dennis graduated from Edison High School in 1969, attended Oklahoma University for 3 years - became an avid OU fan; served in the Army Reserves 7 years; began a mechanical designer career at Nesco Resource; then Select Engineering and retired from Holly Frontier in 2017. He met his best friend Garry Smith and wife Myra during his career. He also attended Victory Bible Institute and had a sure faith in our Lord.

Dennis was such a kind, generous, witty, genuine person who unconditionally loved his family. He will be greatly missed as Dennis was greatly loved by us all!
