Diana Rae Simpson, 68, Tulsa resident, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Diana was born Monday, March 21, 1955, to Glynda Jo (Magness) Stewart and William Ray Stewart in Tulsa, OK. She attended the University of Oklahoma but finished her nursing degree at the University of Tulsa. Diana worked numerous years in the healthcare industry. Greg and Diana were married on November 8, 1975, in Tulsa, OK. Though Diana was busy with helping patients and raising her three wonderful kids, she found time for other things in life. She was a past member of the Sheridan Christian Center, Girl Scouts leader, avid reader, St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, a bowler, QVC and "Days of Our Lives" watcher, Effanbee dolls and Madame Alexander dolls collector, and a frog collector. She enjoyed crocheting, working puzzles, playing Keno and cards, especially poker. Las Vegas was her favorite place to visit, and purple was her favorite color. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Diana is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Greg Simpson of the home; two sons, Greg Simpson, Jr., wife Emily of Tulsa, Skylar Simpson, fiance Ella Gambino of Tulsa; one daughter, Jessica Babia, husband Gilbert of Broken Arrow; one sister, Karen Williams, husband Tim of Broken Arrow; six grandchildren and four and a half great-grandchildren.
