Don was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma on January 24, 1934. His wings arrived on February 19, 2014.
No one could ever remember a person they loved more than Don Booher. There was nothing he didn't try. He lived life in living color and enjoyed every minute of it. He loved his Chickasha Chicks, playing in the Baseball College World Series twice for his Oklahoma A&M Cowboys, his trips to Ireland and Scotland for golf and his hole-in-one. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was magic! He could pull quarter out of the ear of every person under the age of 7. He loved games and playing cards, and let me tell you, the man could dance.
Our hearts are broken. Don is survived by Nell, his wife of 60 years. Their three children, Don & Amy Booher, DeAnn & Brad Heckenkemper and Dale Booher. He had 7 grandchildren: Max & Stephanie Heckenkemper, Allison & Taras Filenko, Caroline & Rex Miller, Haley & Blake Evans, Carley, Emily & Jennifer Booher. Last and most precious, their 7 great-grandchildren: Madelyn & Ethan Heckenkemper, Merrin & Lillian Filenko, Jackson & Gracie Miller and his only redhead, Graham Michael Evans. Always remember....He loved you more.
He also leaves behind his brother, Loren & Dorothy Booher, his sister Janelle & Bill Fink, his 2 brother-in-law's and their wives, Nuel & Judy Perrin, Neal & Linda Perrin and many, many much loved nieces and nephews.
Don and Nell moved from Dallas to Tulsa 17 years ago to be near their children and grandchildren. They are Partners /Managers of South Tulsa Storage. To all his clients, Don loved all your stories and the junk you left behind for his favorite hobby, dumpster diving. "Thank you".
To all the many friends that were so special in his life, "He'll see you on the other side".
He fought the good fight, finished his course and kept the faith. His heart was a loving one and his soul was deep.
