Donald Richard Buoen - Born July 9, 1939, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed on February 17, 2024, in Tulsa, OK.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helmer and Josephine Buoen, his wife Virginia and 2nd wife Jamie Farrah. He is survived by son Richard Buoen of Pasadena, California and daughter Kara Krug and her husband Chris of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren Riley, Spencer and Delaney Buoen of Pasadena, CA, and Wesley Krug of Tulsa, OK.
Don attended Central High School in Tulsa, graduating in 1957. He went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from Oklahoma State University and a Master's in Architecture from Oklahoma University. He was a member of the American Institute of Architecture.
Don was a member of Boston Avenue Methodist Church in Tulsa, OK. He retired from full time work in 2019. He was an active member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Don loved sailing on his boat at Grand Lake and was a very talented artist. He was a member of the Tulsa Art Guild.
Memorial Service Thursday, February 22 at 1:00pm, Moore's Funeral Home Southlawn, 9350 E 51st St, Tulsa, OK 74145.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Boston Avenue Methodist Church.
