Rev. Donald Ray Franklin, 90, of Vinita, passed away Monday, September 2, 2019. He was born May 4, 1929, in Miami, OK to Roy Willoughby and Opal Virginia Franklin. He was a machinist for Rockwell International and he was the pastor of Talala First Baptist Church. Later in life he taught a Bible study class on Sunday afternoon at Senior Star at Burgundy Place. Rev. Donald is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nancy K. Franklin; his children, David Franklin of Adair, OK and Joy Tillotson of Dallas, TX; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and his sister, Sue Lyon of Broken Arrow, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and one sister.
