Obituary

Donald Harold Lee was born in Tulsa June 6, 1937 to Harold Earnest Lee and Annie Willene Lee (Mahan). He passed from this life into the arms of his Heavenly Father on July 6, 2025 at his home in Broken Arrow, surrounded by his family. He was a month removed from his 88th birthday.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Ruby Lee (Cavin); daughters Karen Wolff (Drew), and Diane Casey (David); son Jeff Lee (Kim); grandchildren Ashley Hughes (Coby), Beth Luttenberg (Shane), Matthew Lee, Connor Lee (Marica), Jennifer Casey, and Gracyn Lee ; great grandchildren Theodore Lee and Everett Lee; sister Carolyn Abramson (Glenn); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Willene Lee, and his brother, Kenneth Lee.

Don grew up in Tulsa and moved to Broken Arrow in 1978. Don had a large extended family in the Tulsa area throughout his life. His father was an accountant and his mother was a homemaker.

He graduated from Tulsa's Will Rogers High School in 1956. He joined the Oklahoma Air Force National Guard immediately after high school. He later attended the University of Tulsa where he graduated with a degree in physics.

He spent the majority of his career as an electrical engineer. He worked for Amarada Hess, McDonald Douglass and Memorex-Telex. He was co-owner of AcuLab and did consulting work in his retirement.

Don was a man of faith. He showed you his faith by the way he lived. He was steady, gentle, wise and faithful. He attended the Fifth and Madison Church of God growing up. For much of his adult life, he was a member of East Tulsa Church of God and later First Church of God in Broken Arrow and Courtyard Church in Skiatook.

As a youth, he played basketball and baseball. He played softball in both the Church and National Guard leagues.

He took his family on vacation every summer. Colorado was his favorite destination. No matter where the trip was planned, he would try to find a route thru that beautiful state.

He was a talented photographer. He used this talent to document as much of his family's life as possible. He really enjoyed nature photography. Each year he and Ruby put together a family picture calendar. The calendar featured natural scenery and family photos in alternate years. These calendars were cherished family gifts.

His favorite treat was anything chocolate.

He married the love of his life, Ruby, on June 27, 1958. Together they raised their three children in a loving Christian home. One of his greatest joys was knowing his children and grandchildren had accepted Jesus as their Savior. He loved each of his children's and grandchildren's spouses as his own.
