Donald A. Mullins, 73, passed away on the morning of September 13, 2016 in Tulsa after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease. He was born to Bud and Elsie Mullins in a small farmhouse in Coweta, Oklahoma on March 11 of 1943. Don was the youngest of five children. Later his family moved to the Sand Springs/Tulsa Countyline where Donald became part of the Penny Park Gang.
Donald attended Central High School and graduated in 1961. Upon graduation he both enlisted into the Army Reserves and attended Okmulgee Technical College, where he learned the drafting trade. Don worked hard and excelled at drafting. Later, he started a drafting contracting firm DAMCO Technical Services Inc., which in its heyday employed more than forty individuals. He was fair and generous to his employees, and well-liked by all.
In September of 1972, he married Linda Sue Black and together they had two children, a son Matthew and a daughter Bonnie. Donald was a dedicated family man. He and his family spent many weekends at Grand Lake where he patiently taught his kids how to fish and water ski. Don enjoyed hunting, classic cars and spending quality time with family and friends. He was also a member of the Tulsa Corvette Club.
Don is survived by his daughter Bonnie, his son Matthew and his wife Amber, his three grandchildren, Katie, Meghan, and Sam, his sisters Lavonne and Betty, and his brother Arlin. Don is preceded in death by his mother and father, Elsie and Bud, and his brother Bob. He will be missed dearly.
Memorial services will be held in the Rosewood Chapel at Moore Funeral Home located on 26th and South Harvard in Tulsa on Friday morning, September 16th at 10:00 A.M. Dr. Tankersley will be the Officiate. Lunch at Brother Houligan's on Yale will follow the memorial. His ashes will be buried next to his parents at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.
