Donald Ray Todd, 80, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was born October 9, 1944 to Frederick William Todd and Jewel Dodd Hocutt. He passed to his heavenly home on March 3, 2025. He attended Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. It was there, beside his older brother, that he started learning the printing trade which would later become his career and he was proud to be in the printer's union.
He joined the United States Army and started basic training in 1966, He was stationed in the Second Battalion Company A where he served until his discharge on May 31, 1971.
In 1967, he married the love of his life Janis Phillips and they were happily married for 54 years until her passing on May 20, 2022. Although they never had children, they were always surrounded by furry babies which held a special place in their hearts. Don never liked to sit and was always busy doing something with his hands, whether it was working in the yard or tinkering with his cars and bicycles. He loved his country music land could be often found singing while he worked. He was kind and loving and always enjoyed meeting new friends.
He was a member of First Christian Church in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother and best friend Larry Dale Todd, Sr., his beautiful sister, Barbara Ann Morris and beloved wife, Janis Phillips Todd.
He leaves behind his brothers, Michael Hocutt of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, James (Gate) Hocutt and his wife Marisa of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Billie Stacy of Midland, Texas, as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, among other family and friends.
