Celebrating the life of Donald Paul Warner who died Monday, October 27, 2014, at the age of 81.
Don was born February 1, 1933, in Round Rock, Texas, to Oscar and Agnes (Hoeglund) Warner. He grew up in Round Rock with his three brothers, Roland Oscar, Norman, Keith, and John Weldon and his two foster sisters, Joy Palmer and Mary Johnson. He was a member of the Round Rock High School football team and a band member. Don graduated from Round Rock High School, entered the Army for three years, and then attended the University of Texas, where he graduated with his bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He received his Masters in Science from the University of Tulsa. Don worked in the aerospace industry in California, Washington, and Louisiana before moving his family to Tulsa, where he worked at American Airlines for 28 years until his retirement.
Don's hobby was training dogs, which he did for over 40 years. He was a long time member of the Tulsa Dog Training Club. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife in their motor home.
Don is preceded in death by his father Oscar, his mother Agnes, and Brother Roland Warner. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Susan Honour Warner, his three children Debbie Warner, Dianne Warner, and Pamela Warner Gennardo, his step children Karen Stanley, and Lisa Goulet, the spouses of his children and step children, 8 grandchildren, two brothers, Keto and John, sisters Joy Palmer and Mary Johnson, and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Cancer Research Foundation or to Operation School Bell at the Assistance League of Tulsa.
Memorial Service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 1, 2014, Fellowship Lutheran Church,
