Donald Coy "Don" Shoemaker, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on March 28, 2024, in his hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born to Dona and Preston Shoemaker on September 04, 1931 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Don's early years were shared with his twin brothers, Verle and Merle, creating memories filled with laughter and camaraderie.
Don was joined in marriage to Barbara Jean Unruh on February 20, 1956. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and joyous hustle and bustle of raising their four children: Lynette, Debbie, Kevin and Carla. He was also blessed with 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Don worked for American Airlines in data processing for 36 years and retired in 1993.

Don Shoemaker's story is one of dedication, love, and an unwavering commitment to his family and church. He will be deeply missed, but the seeds he planted in the hearts of those who knew him will continue to grow and flourish for generations to come.

Don was preceded in death by: wife, Barbara; infant son, Brian Dean; grandsons, Mitchell Roberts, Dale Roberts; sister, Lola Rigby; parents, Preston and Dona Shoemaker.

A memorial service to celebrate Don's life will be held on April 2, 2024, at 1:30pm at Heatherridge Baptist Church, 6901 E 91st St, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
