Donna "Kay" (Trundle) Berryhill was born February 25, 1951. She entered into the gates of Heaven on May 30, 2024. Kay was born in Chelan, Washington, to Owen and Lela (Allen) Trundle. In 1954, the family moved back to Oklahoma and made their home on the Sand Springs line. Kay proudly graduated from Sand Springs High School with the class of 1969. After earning her associate degree in business administration, Kay went to work in the purchasing department for Public Service Company of Oklahoma. Where she would go on to give 23 years of faithful service.
On November 1, 1986, Kay married the love of her life, Shelby Berryhill. The newlyweds lived in Tulsa for a brief time, before finally settling in Owasso. On September 23, 1988, Kay and Shelby were blessed to bring home their daughter, Rachel.
Kay was a fierce Christian woman who had a heart for others. She was an active member of her church and regularly served on the benevolence committee. She also loved her role of "greeter" and welcomed hundreds of families to church on Sunday mornings. Mrs. Kay will always be remembered for her hats, her cookies, and her infectious smile.
In 2015, Kay proudly welcomed a new branch to her family tree when Rachel located her biological sister, Kendall, and began forming a close relationship. Kay said many times she felt like she had gained another daughter. She would always beam with pride when talking about her girls.
Kay was also a proud cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with Melanoma, in 1984. She went into remission in 1986 and was a fierce advocate for others about the warning signs and always encouraged her friends and family to get regular checkups.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Owen Trundle, and Lela (Trundle) Dobson, one sister, Linda Murdock, two brothers, Raymond Trundle and Bobby Trundle, nephew, Jeffery Murdock, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Shelby Berryhill, Jr. of Collinsville, daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Cris Evans of Sperry, daughter Kendall Ervin and husband Josh, and grandsons, Jack and Oliver Ervin, all of Kailua, HI, step-son, Eric Berryhill of Wilson, South Carolina, ell as great-niece and great-nephew, Paxton and Benjamin Scanlan of Summerville, South Carolina.
