Bute, Donna Marie Keutzer, age 90 years, eleven months, and twenty days, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at home from dementia. She was born November 11, 1930 on a farm near Windom in Cottonwood County, Minnesota to Heinrich Herman Keuter and Luciel Cora Rippie Keutzer.

She attended rural schools (district 67) in Christiania Township. She graduated from Windom High School in Windom, Minnesota. She moved to Jackson, Minnesota in 1948 to work for Senator Grottum and Winzenburg Law Offices. She married James L. Bute of Alpha, Minnesota in Windom, Minnesota on December 11, 1954 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church. They farmed near Alpha, Minnesota for several years before moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma. She stayed home and raised two children, David Reid Bute and Michelle Renee Bute Hubbard. As the children grew up, she worked for Otasco, Royal Globe insurance, Silvey Insurance, and retired from General Accident Insurance in 1995. She was a long-time member of Bethany Lutheran Church and a current member of Fellowship Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband James of 66 years of the home; son David (Rhonda); daughter Michelle (Scott); grandchildren Bradley (Alea), Laura (Joseph), Brandon, Paul and Jonathan. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Karlie, Benjamin, Caitlin, and Dillon. Her twin sister, Dorothy Dykstra of Jackson, Minnesota, survives her along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by sister Gladys Ratzlaff; nephews Kevin and Kalen Ratzlaff; grandsons Jeffrey Daniel Hubbard and James D. Bute; parents Henry and Cora Keutzer.
