Donna Renae Vaughan was born to Donald Claude Vaughan and Sharon Ann (Melton) Ferguson on January 14th, 1960 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Donna was born with Down's Syndrome, but that did not hinder her ability to experience life with such joy. She loved and enjoyed so many things in life: her cat Spooky, Donny Osmond, whom she saw many times in concert and even got a hug from him, The Partridge Family, Bluey, watching TV shows in her recliner, her Mom and Daddy, her brother Donnie, her Pops & Granny, crocheting, and coloring books

At 18, Donna was able to move into a group home where she had many friends, held a job, and had many outings, including trips to Branson, with her housemates over the years. She enjoyed many shopping trips and Sunday dinners with her mom. Donna lived a relatively healthy life for many years. As she aged, she developed Parkinson's and later Alzheimer's, and she was able to move into a private home to provide the care and comfort needed, while still maintaining a fairly normal life.

Donna's health, happiness, comfort, and joy in this life was due primarily to the work and advocacy of her Mom, Sharon. She always prioritized caring for Donna in whatever capacity was necessary at every age and stage of her life. She loved her well, with every ounce of herself, which was evident in the joy that Donna lived her life. She will be greatly missed.

Donna peacefully passed from this earth in the presence of her mom, into the arms of Jesus on December 16, 2025.

Donna is preceded in death by her grandparents, and her father, Donald Claude Vaughan. She is survived by her mother, Sharon Ferguson and husband Robert of Catoosa, Oklahoma, her brother, Donald Claude Vaughan, II of Tulsa, Oklahoma, her aunt, Joyce Waterman, of Wichita, KS, her uncle Vernon Melton and wife Doris of Adair, OK, and many cousins that were so dear to her heart.


Visitation will be 1PM to 4PM Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Moore's Southlawn. Funeral Service will be 1PM, Monday, December 22, 2025 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 East 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
