Doris Jean Sutton, age 89, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014. Doris was born in Overbrook, Kansas, July 8, 1924. She was widowed and preceded in death by her late loving husband, Carl Bernard Sutton, on October 24, 2013. Doris and Carl were married in Overbrook, Kansas, on November 3, 1946, and remained married for 67 years. They resided in Tulsa, Oklahoma for over 50 years. She graduated from Overbrook High School and attended Kansas University. Doris was a homemaker most of her life, following her husband's career path and raising three children, Jan, Joy and Mark. She was a volunteer with the Salvation Army and a member of the Questers Club for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family at their family retreat on Lake Ft. Gibson. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed her friends.
Doris is survived by three children - Jan Wiltshire (daughter) and husband, Mark Wiltshire; Joy Sullivan (daughter) and husband, Chuck Sullivan; Mark Sutton (son) and wife, Patty Sutton, along with six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Doris will be missed by her family and friends. There will be a graveside
