Dorothy Addie Berryhill Abel was born September 24, 1923 in Shidler, Oklahoma, Osage County, tornado alley to Pearl and Harvey Berryhill. She had a happy home and life and a wonderful Mom and Dad. She married Wornington Spark Abel and they were married for more than 50 years before he passed. They traveled while Wonk was in the service from Florida, Louisiana and Washington. Their son Spark was born in Florida and then they made their home in Tulsa. Roger joined the family in 1959. Dorothy was a very strong willed person. She loved to converse on the phone and spent many hours talking to various friends and family. She loved going to church at Our Savior Lutheran Church and her faith was very important to her. She loved to pray for others. Dorothy worked at Borden's Cafeteria and Famous Recipe Fried Chicken for many, many years. She also was a caregiver in the nursery at Southern Hills Baptist Church. Dorothy had a love for little children. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, sisters Thelma Meyers and Marguerite Snyder. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Spark Abel. She is survived by her beloved son Roger Abel of Redmond, Oregon and his wife, Lisa, their children Zachary Abel of Vancouver, Washington, Garrett and Addie Abel of Redmond, Oregon. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Linda Abel of Tulsa and grandsons Jason (wife Becky) Abel and Aaron (girlfriend Glory) Abel of Tulsa. She is survived by her great-grandchildren Amanda Abel of Tulsa and Ashley Abel of Tulsa and 2 great-great grandsons Logan and Jack.
