Bachlor, Dorothy LaRue, 92, office manager, partner, loving wife and mother, died Saturday, October 9.
Dorothy Lillian Hare was born and raised in Syracuse, NY, where she was adopted at age two by Silas and Estelle Converse. Upon graduation from high school, she became a telephone operator, was married, and moved to Costa Mesa, CA, where she raised two sons and was Personnel Manager for J.C. Penney. Following a divorce, she married Ray Bachlor in 1980. Together, they owned and operated an automotive service company and farmed avocados and macadamia nuts in Fallbrook, San Diego County, CA until retiring and moving to Tulsa in 2001.
"Dottie" was admired by all as a truly genuine and caring person, not to mention a great cook! She leaves her husband, Ray Bachlor, sons Michael D. LaRue, Kevin R. LaRue, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Kay "Betty" LaRue, grandson Ryan G. LaRue, and step-daughters Anne Elfrink and husband Don, Nancy LeSage and husband Michael, and Peggy Bachlor; and seven step-grandchildren and their partners and eight great grandchildren that all adored her.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 East 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
