Dorothy Lee Brown, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013, at the age of 91. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was also known as Maime, Mam-ma, and Grandma.
Dorothy was born October 2, 1921, in Tulsa Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas R. Brown, her
parents, Roy and Elsie Waggoner, and two sisters, Mildred and Lola Grove. She is
survived by two daughters, Carolyne Jackson and husband Tim Jackson of Tulsa, Cheryl Mackey and her husband, Richard Mackey of Coweta, four grandchildren, Shawn Jackson of Tucson, Shanan Miller and her husband Darren Miller of Broken Arrow, Jeremy Mackey of Los Angeles, Ashley Milus and her husband Glenn Milus of Los Angeles, two great grandchildren, Hailey and Hunter Miller of Broken Arrow.
Dorothy was a fantastic cook and had feasts every Sunday after church for her family. She was beloved to her family and friends. She was always kind and caring to everyone. She will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Service will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel. Viewing with the family is Monday, September 9, between 4:00-6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimers Association. Moore?s Southlawn 663-2233 share memories at
