Obituary

Dorothy was born Dorothy Maye Reeves on December 10th, 1938, in Winfield, KS to Frank & Mildred Reeves. She graduated from West High School in Wichita, KS in 1956. She attended Friends University for 1 year. She then attended St. Francis hospital nursing school in Wichita, graduating July 24, 1960. Before attending St. Francis nursing school, she worked 1 year for Wilber E Walker typewriter.

Dorothy met her husband Raymond Doll at the USO in Wichita in 1957. If you have met Raymond, we are sure you have heard the story of how they met! If you haven't heard that story, Raymond will be more than happy to tell you all about it! They were married on September 5, 1959. Together they had four children, Steve Paul Doll, Kevin Eugene Doll, Peggy Rae Doll, and Darren LeRoy Doll.

Dorothy retired from St. Francis hospital in Tulsa after 24 years. She later retired from St. John's hospital in Tulsa after 10 years.

The Dolls began attending Tulsa Baptist Temple in 1974.

After retirement Raymond and Dorothy enjoyed RVing. They traveled around the country. They also enjoyed taking cruises. Dorothy's favorite RV trip was an 8-week trip that she and Raymond took to the Pacific Northwest. The Dolls spent many summers camping with Raymond's sister, Marilyn, and her husband, Paul Dugger, and their four children tent camping at Tenkiller Lake in Oklahoma. After one extremely hot summer vacation, 2 straight weeks of temperatures over 100, the families decided it was time to give up the tents and begin renting cabins. That decision was made by Dorothy and Marilyn!

Dorothy enjoyed being a member of Delta Theta Chi Sorority. She joined the sorority in 1998 and made many lifelong friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Max Reeves, sister Reva Reeves Patton, daughter-in-law, Dana Doll, and son Darren LeRoy Doll.

Dorothy is survived by her husband and best friend of 65 years, Raymond. Steven Paul Doll, his wife Felicia, Steven's daughter Amber Marie, and sons Steven Troy and Tristun Paul. Kevin Eugene Doll, his daughter Jessica Michelle, and son Alex. Peggy Rae (Doll) Goodman, her husband Brad, her son Kyle Preston, and daughter Kelli Dawn.
