D. Jean Finch Nelson, age 91, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born March 4, 1925 in St. Charles, Illinois to Raymond Charles Judd and Margaret Irene (Reckard) Judd.
Jean attended Lincoln Elementary in St. Charles, Champaign Jr. High and Champaign High School in Champaign, IL. She attended the University of Illinois and graduated with honors in 1947 with a Liberal Arts Degree in sociology and social welfare.
For many years Jean was active in Oil Capital Chapter, American Business Women's Association and Tulsa Cerebral Palsy Association. She was involved with the Knife Fork Club, Delta Rho Delta -- Business Sorority, and Chi Omega -- National Sorority. Jean was a long time member of First United Methodist Church, Tulsa. Jean volunteered with Meals on Wheels, working with seniors, and working at the youth center at First United Methodist Church. She loved to travel, read and garden.
Jean is predeceased by husband, John W. Finch and husband, Gerald B. Nelson and sister, Mary Ann James. She is survived by daughter, Diane Finch; son, David Finch and grandchildren, Tasha Oseland and Raven Tiger.
