Dorothy Jean Carlisle Kelly, of Tulsa, OK, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, July 19, at the Oklahoma Methodist Manor after a brief illness. She was 91.

Dot was born on August 21, 1928, in Clarksville, AR, to Lucy Belle and Millard Leo Carlisle. After graduating from Clarksville High School in 1946, she earned her degree from the College of the Ozarks in 1951, where she met Opal Carson, her lifelong best friend. While in town they were long-time tour guides at the Gilcrease Museum and devoted members of the Boston Avenue Methodist Church.

Dorothy loved keeping up with current events, living a healthy lifestyle, attending family gatherings, and being a devoted companion to her adoring husband Jim. Later in life she especially enjoying dining with her many friends around Tulsa and at the Oklahoma Methodist Manor.
