Dorothy M. Murry, age 95, passed from this life on Tuesday December 10 at Methodist Manor. Dorothy was born in Tulsa on September 13, 1918. A 1936 graduate of Tulsa Central High School, she was a licensed insurance underwriter and office manager for the R. H. Siegfried Insurance Agency, retiring in 1987. She and her husband John owned Murry?s Variety Store on Main Street in Broken Arrow from 1950 until 2006. She was an active member of the New Covenant Sunday School class at Boston Avenue Methodist Church, the Main Street Merchants of Broken Arrow, the Soroptimists Club and Insurance Women of Tulsa. She is survived by her sister Evelyn Butefish, her brothers Charles C. Miller and W. R. (Bill) Miller and his wife Ebbie, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Murry was preceded in death by her husband John and sister Ruth Miller. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boston Avenue Methodist Church.
