Dorothy Jean Sparks, 93, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away
on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 in Owasso, OK. She was born in Northfield, MN on July 6, 1923, to Fred and Agnes Abbott. She was a homemaker.

She married Wesley B. Sparks on Sept. 25, 1942 in Las Vegas, NV and were married for 71 years until his passing in 2013. They made their home in Whittier, CA for many years and upon Wesley's retirement they moved to Tulsa in May of 1977. She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley; her parents; infant daughter, Connie Jean Sparks; and grandson, Frank McAlister; 2 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by 5 children, Ron Sparks, Janet Roy, Danny Sparks, Jerry Sparks and his wife Lana, Cindy Tolmachoff and her husband Jack; 5 grandchildren including Barbara Salama who was her caregiver for several years and Chris Sparks who was also very close to her; 5 great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces and a host of friends.

The family will hold a visitation on Monday, Dec. 5th from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM at Moore's Southlawn. The funeral service will be Tuesday Dec. 6th 11:00 AM at Moore's Southlawn Chapel.
