THACKER, Dorothy Florence, 93, of Tulsa, died April 27, 2015 in Tulsa. She was born October 3, 1921 in Hochatown, OK, a daughter of the now late Thomas F. and Florence (Johnston) Hermening.
Dorothy graduated Paris Junior College in Paris, TX during the war years. She married the now late Bobby Gene Thacker on August 27, 1949 in Oklahoma City. She was a full-time mom that supported and encouraged her family's endeavors. Dorothy was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church and Tulsa Country Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Kantner and her husband, Keith of Tulsa, and Jacqueline Thacker of Long Beach, CA; sister, Dixie Limbocker of Oklahoma City; and two grandchildren, Daniel and Jillian Fisher, both of Long Beach, CA.
Funeral service will be Friday, May 1, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Moore's Southlawn Chapel. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
