RUDDLE, Douglas Baxter "Jerry", born in Oakhurst, OK on August 5, 1929 to
George and Lucille Ruddle, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014.
Retired from U. S. Army Corps of Engineers in October, 1989 after 31 � years
government service including four years in the U. S. Air Force during the
Korean War. He started in the Tulsa District Corps of Engineers in the office
of Counsel in January, 1962. Subsequent Corps assignments were with the
Sacramento District, Mediterranean Division in Italy, and Pacific Ocean
Division in Hawaii.
Jerry graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1947. He received a
Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Tulsa in 1957 and an LLB
from the University of Tulsa in 1961. He was active in Founder's Chorus and
Never Too Late Men's Chorus of the S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A since 1990.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Tulsa since 1946.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Mary B. Ruddle (married August 20, 1956); son
Mark D. Ruddle of Adair; two grandsons, Jeremiah Douglas Ruddle of Tulsa
and Travis Baxter Ruddle of Oklahoma City; one brother, James Ruddle of
Rye, NY.
He was a man of highest integrity, loved his family, and will be so missed
by all his loved ones. Memorial service will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 16, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church-Kerr Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be
made to First Presbyterian Church, 709 S. Boston, Tulsa, OK.
