Douglas Edward Willis was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on December 22, 1950 and left this world on February 11, 2026 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 75 years old. He was a loving husband, amazing father and grandfather, and a good dad to his dogs. He leaves behind his wife Susan, after 52 ½ years of marriage, his daughter, Courtney and son-in-law, David, grandchildren, Ian and Sophie, his mom Eda and sister Beth, her husband, Scott and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Edward Willis and his brothers, William and Michael. He was a 4 year Marine Corp veteran who willingly served his country in Vietnam as a helicopter mechanic. After returning home, he worked at Safeway, while attending college at the University of Tulsa with a major in Sociology. He earned a Master's degree in Anthropology, also from the University of Tulsa. He worked for many years at Tulsa Community College in the veteran's services department. His hobbies included playing with his border collies, photography, and music.
