BOYD - Doyle Wendall, 93, of Tulsa, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Born September 3, 1932 in Grove, OK, he grew up and lived in Tulsa, OK.
He served as an Army medical aidman during the Korean conflict, started his own insurance business in Roswell and Clovis, NM, served as a District Executive for the Boy Scouts of America, achieving the Order of the Arrow Vigil Honor and awarded the Silver Beaver for service, and then closed out his career back in insurance. He was a Will Rogers High School gymnastics tumbler, wrestler, and tenor in glee club. He was a member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity while attending Oklahoma A&M. He was a lifelong blood donor. He loved being a choir member and passing the plate at New Haven United Methodist Church. He volunteered with prison release ministries.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ermon, and mother, Lorena, his wives Carol and Janna, sister, Erma, and he is survived by Jeanette Boyd, his sister, Martha, four sons, Daryl (Jamie), Dwayne, Colin, and Devin (Jennifer), daughter, Cheryl (Chip), six grandchildren, Ashley, Christopher, Avery, Erin, Grier, and Paige, and four great-grandchildren, Sariya, Kamiya, Theo, and Ellie.
Doyle was a man of honor, service and love, and his life was full and well-lived. Most of all, he was dedicated to his family. He is missed.
