Tulsa Rites For Kellogg

Funeral services for Mrs. Colleen (Clay) Kellogg, Tulsa, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 6, at the Eastwood Baptist church in Tulsa. Burial was in the Okmulgee cemetery.

She died Wednesday, June 4, in a Tulsa hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Kellogg was born April 5, 1935 in Okema. She received her primary and secondary education in Okmulgee where she was active in music programs. She was a member of the Bison Glee club at Oklahoma Baptist university at Shawnee and a member of the First Baptist church where she sang in the choir and presented many solos.

She was employed as a legal secretary and worked for 13 years as a deputy court clerk in Shawnee and two years at the Stillwater Education Communication Center. At the time of her death, she was employed as MTST operator in the law offices of Huffmann, Arrington, Scheurich and Kihle in Tulsa.

Mrs. Kellogg's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Clay, are former Carnegie residents, Mr. Clay was in business in Carnegie and Mrs. Clay, the former Virginia Riffe, was a school teacher in the Carnegie area.

Mrs. Kellogg is the niece of Mrs. Rudell Taylor, Pete Riffe, Mrs. Garland Giles and Bert Clay of Carnegie.

Other survivors include one daughter, Krista Lynn Kellogg and one son, Michael Ray Kellogg of the home; their father, Charles Ray Kellogg of Lawton; her parents, mr. and Mrs. Hugh Clay, Okmulgee; three sisters, Carolyn Hardy of St. Louis, Mo., Charlotte Vancycle, Tulsa, and Catherine Stover, Norman; one brother, Carl Clay of Tulsa; and a grandmother, Mrs. A. Clay of Okmulgee.

Attending the services from Carnegie were Mrs. Garland Giles, Mrs. Bert Clay, Mrs. Judy Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Rudell Taylor and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Riffe and Jan.
