Eber Eugene "Gene" Long, 74, of Claremore, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021. He was born August 30, 1947 in Shawnee, OK to Lavon and Dorothy Long. Gene had worked as an auditor for the IRS and was a member of Airport Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed studying the Bible and watching prophecy. He also enjoyed playing video games and playing games with his grandson, Wade Long. Gene is survived by his wife of fifty years, Hazel "Dean" Long; his children, Everett Long and wife Yvonne of Tulsa, Tera West and husband W. P. of Broken Arrow, OK; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his brother, Leon Long his wife Nancy of MS. Gene was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ferrel Long.
