Middleton, Edna Irene (Mead) 84, was born October 16,1928, to Ernest and Zelma (Maddox) Mead in Buffalo, Missouri. She passed away on April 28, 2013. She was the second child of four children.

She graduated from Buffalo High School in 1945, where she was valedictorian of her senior class. She moved to Kansas City, where she worked and met her future husband. They married on November 22, 1951, at Linwood Methodist Church. They had five children.

She lived and lovingly raised her family in Kansas City, Liberal, Kansas, Tulsa, and Denver. After moving to Orange, California, she worked in the financial aid office of Chapman College. When the family moved to Dallas, she did the same work at Southern Methodist University.

In 1980, she and John moved to Bethany, Oklahoma, and she worked for the Oklahoma Education Association as an administrative assistant until she retired in 2002. They moved back to Tulsa in 2004.

She is survived by her husband, John; sons John (and spouse Teresa) and Michael; daughters Michelle Naylor, Lisa Reynolds (and spouse Bob), and Dana Castellaw (and spouse Lyle); sisters Vera Gaunt and Ida Belle Pitts; grandchildren Erin Velez, Josh and Jared Naylor; Andrea Hoffman, John, Hannah and Mark Middleton; Siera Williams, Robbie, Samantha and Riley Reynolds, and Austin, Tyler, and Caleb Castellaw. She also has four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bill, and grandson Kyle Castellaw.

A celebration of Eddie's life will be held at the Mason Chapel at Asbury United Methodist Church on Friday, May 31" at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to the Alzheimer's Association or Asbury United Methodist Church missions would be appreciated by the family.
