Edna Faye Oxford, 98, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020, in Daleville, Alabama. She was born to William Emory and Dala Mary (Gates) Pennington on November 11, 1921, at Mount Vernon, Missouri.
Edna was a longtime resident of Vinita, Oklahoma, and recently moved to Alabama to be with her son. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, grandchild, great-grandchild, great-great-grandchild and friend. Edna will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband: James Gordon Oxford, Sr.; her parents, and 6 siblings.
Edna is survived by her son: Gordon L. Oxford and his wife, Mary Anna Hanley; sisters: Virginia Ruble and Irma Harrall; brother: Joe Pennington and his wife, Loretta; 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be Wednesday, May 27, 2020, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel, 1908 S. Memorial Dr., Tulsa, Oklahoma 74112.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, May 28, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Cemetery, 6500 South 129th East Avenue, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012.
