Edward Prescott Chandler, 83, of Tulsa, OK, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 1977, at his residence. He was born on Wednesday, June 6, 1894, in Wisconsin, to William Prescott Chandler and Nora (Nelson) Chandler. Edward was proud to have served as a Machinist's Mate 2nd Class in the United States Navy in WWI. He retired as a counselor from Webster High School, Tulsa, OK, in 1959. He was also a Professor in the Trade and Industrial Education department at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK. He also served as the State's Supervisor of Trade and Industrial Education during the mid-1940s. Edward received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin and his Master's Degree from Oklahoma State University, Norman, OK. He was married to Helen (Wisner) Chandler, and a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Tulsa, OK. Edward is survived by his wife, of the home; son, Dr. Phillip Chandler, Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Mrs. Virginia Spangler and husband, Dr. Earl Spangler, Kenosha, WI; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
