Isbell, Edward Eugene, 71 passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 2, 2013. Edward was born in Carthage, MO, September 24, 1941, to Floyd & Iona Lee (Anderson) Isbell.
His family moved to Joplin, Missouri while he was a youngster. He graduated from Joplin High School in 1959. After graduation he moved to Chicago, Illinois where he became a bakery manager.
For most of his life, Ed was a self-employed business owner. In the seventies he settled in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he became a delivery driver for Coors Brewing Company. This led him to many years of owning/operating several bars and nightclubs while enjoying playing competitive billiards. He later retired to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for a year before returning to Tulsa, Oklahoma to be near his family.
As a retiree he was employed by University Plaza part time and enjoyed meeting and greeting people.
Through the union of marriage to Rosemary Brown he is survived by his children & spouses: Gary Isbell (Tracy), Tulsa, OK, Lana Weston, Carl Junction, MO, Mendy Davids (Tim), Joplin, MO. Grandchildren: Sarah, Cameron, Brandon, Tylor, Evan, Megan, and great grandson Alex. He is also survived by his constant companion and best Friend, ?Splash?.
