Edward Purdy Stadler was a lifetime Tulsan born November 26, 1934. He
left us to be with his Lord, Sept. 26, 2014. Ed attended Woodrow Wilson Jr. High, Central High School and graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1952. He and his family were active members of Boston Ave. United Methodist Church. He attended Tulsa Univ., a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity, and served in the U. S. Army 2 years in Germany.
His artistic talents led to the career positions of Art Director for the Oil and
Gas Journal for 17 years, and for (SEG), Society of Exploration of Geophysists until retirement. He is loved and remembered for his dry, wry wit, sensitivity, loyalty, love of nostalgia, his Christian Faith which drew him into serving through missions and senior adult leadership positions in Asbury UMC. Before and during his illness he was steadfast in daily prayer time for family, friends, China and the world.
He was preceded in death by his parents A. F. Stadler, Alice G. (Purdy)
Stadler and son, Anthony Edward Stadler. He is survived by his loving wife,
Joanne, grandson, Bobby, great- grandson Braxton of the home, daughter Trudy Espinoza (Tim), son Tim Stadler, daughter-in-law Pat Stadler, step-children Mark Bezinque (Katia), Traci Bezinque (Brian), Kelly Keller (Dale), 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
The memorial service will be held Friday, October 3rd, 11:00 a.m. in Mason
Chapel at Asbury UMC, Tulsa, OK. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Mission Outreach Asbury UMC, American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233 share memories
