Edwina Dean McClure, age 89, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020, in Tulsa, OK.
She was born May 20, 1930, to Lao August & Jessie May (Howerton) Damme in Muskogee, OK. She married Trammell McClure on April 4, 1953. They were married for more than 59 years, before his death in 2012.

Edwina's father worked for Pure Oil Company and she grew up in oil lease houses around Kiefer, OK. She graduated from Kiefer High School in 1948 and then attended Draughon Business College in Tulsa. She went to work for AAPG in Tulsa. She took time off from work to raise children. Later, she work for SEPM, a sister company to AAPG. She kept books for and managed a nursing home. She owned and operated a clothing and dry goods store in Haskell. Later she worked part time for an attorney and for a oil company operator.

Edwina and Trammell lived in Tulsa until 1966, when they moved to Haskell, OK. They returned to Tulsa in 2002. For a number of years, they enjoyed RV traveling. They made many strong and lasting friendships during this time.

Edwina was a member of Woodland Acres Baptist Church, Tulsa, along with three younger generations of her family.

Edwina is survived by Daughter: Cheryl Sowersby, (Gary), Tulsa, OK, and grandchildren, Stephanie Powell (Ben), Daryl Sowersby, Nichole, Lisa, Antoinette, Christine; Daughter: Donna Ingram (Jim), Sapulpa, OK, and grandchildren, Laura Williams (Brian), Drew Treat (Kristen); Son: Jeff McClure, Tulsa, OK, and grandchildren, Matt McClure (Cheryl) and Aaron McClure; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Friday, March 13, 2020, 5-7:00 pm. Funeral service is Saturday, March 14, 2020, 10:00 am, at Moore's Southlawn, in Tulsa. Interment will follow at the Haskell City Cemetery about 11:45 am. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to Woodland Acres Baptist Church.
