It is with great sorrow that the family of Elena Aguayo Kelley announces her passing after suffering a heart attack on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at the age 0f 72 years.
A native of Sahuaripa, a town in the Mexican state of Sonora, Elena lived in various countries, eventually settling in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she worked as an Executive Sales Manager at City Awning, a company she co-owned with her husband. She loved and advocated for animals and adopted several rescue cats and dogs throughout her life. Admired as a skillful cook, friends and family will fondly remember Elena's influence on them in the kitchen. She loved to travel and visit friends and families, spending time in countries throughout Latin America and Europe. Elena will be remembered by her beautiful smile and characteristic sense of humor.
Elena will be forever and lovingly remembered by her husband of 30 years, Jack Kelley, and her children, Carlos Cromeyer Aguayo, Elena Cromeyer Aguayo and James Aguayo. Elena will also be forever remembered by her two grandchildren, Pol Cromeyer Gude and Lena Cromeyer Gude, and her siblings, Martha Aguayo Rascon, Alejandro Aguayo Rascon, Carlos Aguayo Rascon and Alicia Aguayo Rascon, and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Elena was predeceased by her parents, Magdalena Rascon Silva and Carlos Aguayo Encinas.
A Catholic funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
