Elisa Romine Norred of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2026, at the age of 70. She was born in Enid, Oklahoma on September 24, 1955, to the late Bob and Helen (Gales) Romine. She is survived by her children Katie and Danny Steele of Tulsa, OK, Craig and April Norred of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren Wyatt and Charlie Steele and Sammy, June, and Owen Norred; siblings Gary and Liz Romine, Janis and Ted Jones, and Deann Romine; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Elisa was a woman of unwavering integrity and strong in her Catholic faith. She was never afraid to stand up for what she believed in and was a passionate advocate for others. She was open-minded, with the rare ability to hold firm to her convictions while remaining curious about the world and the people in it.
Throughout her childhood, Elisa attended Enid Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1973. She then attended college at Southwestern University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Continuing her education, Elisa graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1996, following in her father's footsteps to become a Certified Public Accountant. She was devoted to her career, continuing to work until the time of her passing. This was an important part of her life, and she took great pride in her profession. Her commitment to her work reflected her sharp mind and dedication.
Always in pursuit of her next great adventure, Elisa was eager to try new things. Some of her recent hobbies included learning to juggle, playing drums, and applying to volunteer to hold babies in the NICU. She found joy in live music, trips to Red River, NM, playing games with friends and family, and cheering on the OKC Thunder.
Above all, Elisa loved her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her five grandchildren held a particularly special place in her heart, and she cherished the time she spent with them. She valued family traditions that brought generations together, creating lasting memories and a foundation of love that will live on through her family.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 4:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home - Southlawn Chapel with Reverend Jeffrey Moore officiating.
Cremation services have been entrusted to Moore Funeral Home - Southlawn Chapel.
