Elizabeth Ann (Johnson) Carnett, 72, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2019 at her
daughter's home in Tulsa, OK. She battled metastatic melanoma with courage and grace for many months, then chose to spend her remaining precious moments with family and dear friends, surrounded by tenacious love and frequent laughter.

Elizabeth was born in St. Louis, MO on October 15, 1946 to William C. Johnson and Naomi Pratte Johnson. "Beth Ann" was the baby sister to Ruth Reynolds, Frank Johnson, Mary Drysdale, Bill Johnson, and Leah Ford.

Known as "Liz" to her friends, she enjoyed gardening, crafting, and reading. She was not shy about sharing her love of Jesus, engaging easily with others even during treatment. With her bright smile and joyous spirit, Liz was active in several community outreach programs.

In 1964, Elizabeth graduated from Fort Zumwalt High School in O-Fallon, MO. Over the course of her life, Elizabeth worked in several clerical and administrative roles. She was self-employed at various times, operating a cleaning service and also doing independent sales. Most recently, she was blessed to be a personal caregiver to a lovely couple.

Elizabeth survives in the hearts of her son-in-law and daughter, Lee and Dianna Mills, her grandsons, Matt, Mark and Micah Mills; son and daughter-in-law Mike and Megan Ziegemeier, her grandchildren Alex and Alyssa Ziegemeier, and her daughter, Sarah Mapes. She held dear the memory of her young son, Brian Ziegemeier, who preceded her in death. Elizabeth loved fully and would encourage those of us who miss her to "Shine the Light forward. You are His Lightbearers!"

A celebration of Elizabeth's life will be held at River Oaks Presbyterian Church on Friday January 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Floral arrangements are being coordinated through Martin's Flowers & Gifts in Coweta, OK.
