Downs, Elizabeth "Sue," 88, died Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Sue was born January 8, 1927, in Okmulgee, OK to Walter and Mary Opal (Barksdale) Pierce.

After graduation from Okmulgee High, Sue went to work for Texaco. She married Wayne O'Neal Downs of Henryetta, OK on September 5, 1947 (66 years). Like so many young women of her time, she left the work force to raise her children.

Wayne and Sue traveled the world while Wayne was with American Airlines. She'll be remembered for her love of family and friends.

Sue is survived by her son, Dale Downs; his wife, Annette; grandchildren, Allen Jenkins, Brian Wilkinson, Beth Wilkinson, Jenna Rae Ripley and Travis Downs; one great-grandchild, Paxton Jenkins. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her daughter, June Downs Wilkinson.

In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute the Alzheimers Association.

Service will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 10, 2015, at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 East 51st Street.
Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 P.M., Sunday, August 9, 2015, at Moore's Southlawn.
