Elizabeth "Ann" Gibbs, age 91, died August 26th, 2024 peacefully at her home in Tulsa. She was a loving wife, wonderful sister and aunt, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by many.
Ann was born on December 26th, 1932 in Tulsa Oklahoma to Fred & Ethel Sanders. She graduated from Will Rogers High School and attended Oklahoma A&M.
Her priority in life was family. She raised three children and was involved in every activity that they pursued. She served as Girl Scout leader, Boy Scout leader and PTA.
Later in life, Ann owned and operated Ann's hallmark store at 71st & Memorial.
An active member of several organizations including Boston Avenue United Methodist Church, the Downtown Tulsa Rotary anns, Salvation Army and volunteer at Celia Clinton Elementary. She also served as president of the Tulsa Hearing Auxiliary and was grand worthy advisor for the state of Oklahoma Rainbow Girls.
Ann is preceded in death by first husband, Elmer Anderson Jr in 1956 and second husband Richard Gibbs in 2018. Her brother Fred Sanders and sister Mary Graeber. She is survived by her daughters Chere Gibbs (Cindy) and Teresa Noble (Randy), son Russell Gibbs (Julie), 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Viewing will be 12PM - 8PM, Friday, August 30, 2024 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 East 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma. The service will be held August 31, 2024 at 1 pm at Boston Avenue Methodist Church, 1301 South Boston, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to your favorite charity, Boston Avenue Methodist Church or the Sandite Child Development Center.
