Obituary
Elizabeth Ann Maggi died on Saturday, February 7th, 2015. She was born
February 2, 1943 to parents, Maureen Mahan Maggi & Edgar Bernard
Maggi, deceased. She is survived by her sister, Mary Maggi of Bristow and a plethora of friends.
Liz graduated high school in Bristow, Oklahoma in 1961. She got her B.S. in Nursing from Oklahoma University in 1965. While at OU, Liz joined the U.S. Army. In 1968, after stateside assignments, she was deployed to Vietnam to use her nursing skills.
Liz returned to the USA and worked as a nurse in California for some years.
Eventually, Liz obtained her Masters in Nursing from UCLA after which she taught nursing at the University of Tulsa.
In 1986 Liz graduated law school at TU. She then worked
successively for the law firms of Chapel Wilkinson, Riggs Abney and
Howard & Widdows. In approximately 1998, Liz became In-House Counsel for the hospital in Poteau, Oklahoma.
She soon moved back to Tulsa where she became In-House Counsel for Hillcrest, St. John's & the OSU Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held 2pm.Friday, February 13, 2015 at the All Souls Chapel . In Lieu of flowers, please donated to Clare House Hospice in Tulsa, Disabled American Vets or The Westie rescue Foundation.
