Ellen Leann Drake, 78, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, in Tulsa. She was born on October 4, 1947, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Silas Leroy "Mac" and Geneva Mae McAlpin.

Ellen graduated from Castleberry High School in Fort Worth in 1965. Over the course of more than 50 years, she built a dedicated career in clerical services, working for several well-known companies including Cargill, Amerada Hess, BP Amoco, IBM, and Central Tag Agency. She was known for her strong work ethic and commitment throughout her career.

Ellen found joy in life's simple pleasures-sharing a glass of wine with friends, relaxing trips to the beach, and, most importantly, spending time with her beloved family. She especially cherished moments with her son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter, who brought her great pride and happiness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dwane Drake; her parents, Mac and Geneva McAlpin; and her brother, Richard Walter McAlpin.

Ellen is lovingly remembered by her son, Dwane Drake; her daughter-in-law, Belen Drake; and her granddaughter, Camryn Drake, all of Oklahoma City.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Moore's Southlawn Funeral Home, 9350 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, with Reverend Roland Depew officiating. A reception will follow immediately after the service.
