Ingmire, Ellen K., 68, died on July 4, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. She was born in McAlester, OK on May 28, 1947 to John Alonzo and Ruth (Hammond) Imes. Ellen grew up in McAlester and graduated as valedictorian of her 1965 McAlester High School class.

She went on to Oklahoma State University where she graduated with honors in 1969 with a degree in Education, and where she met Darrell Ingmire. They married on August 23, 1969.
After a three-year break for military service, Darrell studied pharmacy and Ellen earned her Masters in Education and Counseling degree from Southwestern Oklahoma University. During her career, Ellen worked for several oil companies and retired in 2014 from BP Amoco where she was a pipeline scheduler. She was an accomplished pianist and an avid OSU fan. She chaired and was a major contributor to her McAlester High School Reunion Committee. She and Darrell were active in the Oklahoma Village Collectors Club, and she was known to play a ferocious game of Wahoo. Ellen and Darrell enjoyed traveling and spending time with their friends.
They are long time members of the Kirk of the Hills Church.

Ellen is survived by her husband, Darrell; daughter, Dana Gudgel and her husband, Trent; grandson Gage McCoy; step-grandchildren, Carly, Brooke, Brett and McKenzie. She is also survived by her brother, John Imes and his wife, Joan; their daughter, Mary Kathleen and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 8, 2015, Kirk of the Hills Church, 6218 S. Lewis, Tulsa, OK 74136.
Interment 1:00 P.M., McAlester Memorial Garden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to the American Lung Association.
