Ellen Dana Langland
(April 29, 1960 ~ March 30, 2016)

Ellen Dana Langland (Prosser) of Tulsa, Oklahoma was born April 29, 1960 in Clinton, Iowa to William "Bill" Earl Prosser and Carolyn Evelyn Allen Prosser. Ellen was welcomed into heaven a good and faithful servant in the evening of March 30, 2016.

Ellen was a graduate of Ardmore High School, Class of 1978. She went on to attend University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and East Central Oklahoma University, earning her bachelors degree in Education from East Central in 1982.

Ellen married Robert Odin Langland in Ardmore, OK on August 7, 1982. Ellen was a teacher at Houston Elementary School in Lancaster, TX, teaching 1st and 2nd grades. While in Texas, Ellen served her community and church through various ministries including but not limited to Bible Study Fellowship, Meals on Wheels, Children's programs and sang in the choir.

Ellen and Robert relocated to Tulsa, OK in 1999. In March of 2009, they adopted their son, David Niles "Bo" Langland. Ellen was a wonderful loving mother and took great joy and delight in their beautiful son, Bo.

Ellen, an active member of First Baptist Church Tulsa (FBC Tulsa), served as the Caring Center Director for 5 years, an inner city food and clothing ministry for the homeless and underserved. Most recently she served as the Director of Women's Missionary Union (WMU) at FBC-Tulsa. Ellen was also the State President of WMU for Oklahoma.

Ellen was gracious, kind, giving, and loved by all who knew her. Her relationship with her heavenly Father was her number one priority with her family a close second. She was generous and faithful and gave sacrificially. Her heart was always on Jesus and glorifying God which was evident by her support of a multitude of mission-focused ministries and various animal rescue activities.

Ellen is survived by her husband Robert of 33 years, and son Bo of the home; sister Shawn and husband Russell South of Ardmore; father Bill Prosser of Ardmore; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her niece Dana Irene South and mother Carolyn Evelyn Allen Prosser.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Deron Spoo presiding under the direction of Moore Funeral Homes at www.moorefuneral.com . Interment and Remembrance Service will be Monday April 4, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. with Alton Fanning presiding at Craddock Funeral Home in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church Tulsa Caring Center.
