Elmo "LeRoy" Morrison III was born on October 3, 1944, to
Elmo LeRoy Morrison Jr and Virgie Lee Morrison in Montebello, California. At the age of 2 his family moved to Topeka, Kansas for his father to attend college. At the age of 6 his family moved to Tulsa where LeRoy graduated from Nathan Hale High School.
He joined the Navy after high school. He worked for P & S Sales and decided to go into the computer business. He started out in operations in Tulsa and then was transferred to Chicago for a few years and was hired by Sartain Fischbein as a programmer so he could return to Tulsa. He went to work for Sooner Pipe and Supply and ended his 33-year employment as a Systems Engineer. He retired in 2011 from Sooner Pipe doing the job he loved.
He enjoyed playing golf, playing poker with his uncle and friends, family gatherings, fast cars, and playing with the family Siberian Husky pets. He enjoyed traveling with his wife to Italy, Isreal, and the Panama Canal.
LeRoy was predeceased by his mother, father and son, David.
He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Glenna Morrison, a son Ken Morrison and wife Gina and their 4 children Max, Roman, Isabella and Hannah (Morrison) Galvan, 2 stepchildren, (Cherri Richman) and (Michael Russell and wife Christine), Six grandchildren, along with Cacee Rueben and husband Michael and Justin Richman. Three great grandchildren and a beloved 2-year-old great granddaughter Charlotte Reuben, and his brother Bruce Morrison and wife Nelly.
His celebration of life will be Friday, April 24, at Moore's Southlawn Funeral Home at 10:00am located at 9350 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, OK.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Assistance League of Tulsa (Operation School Bell) located at 5350 E. 31st Street, Tulsa, OK 74135. There will be a reception following the celebration at 7305 S. 3rd Place. Broken Arrow, OK.
