Obituary

Elsie Elizabeth (Weiss) Kuck passed away January 24, 2021 at the age of 92. She was born September 13, 1928 in Chicago, IL to immigrant parents Frank and Margaret Weiss. Her family moved to Long Island, New York where she started first grade. She graduated from Bayside High School in New York in an accelerated program and with honors in her business courses. This qualified her at age 17 to be hired as a junior accountant by Radio City Music Hall. Three months into the job she was selected by their treasurer to be his secretary. George Kuck lived in her neighborhood in Flushing and began to pursue her, according to Elsie. Eventually she got to know him and realized that he was a nice guy. They were married in 1948 in The Little Church Around the Corner in New York City. She held the position at Radio City Music Hall until her husband George was transferred to Tulsa, OK by American Airlines. Elsie spent the next part of her life being a wife and mother to three children. As her children got a little older, she took an office position with Tulsa Public Schools so that she would have summers off with her children.
Later she would work full time in the school system and was secretary to the principal at Nathan Hale High School when she retired in 1991 from TPS and spent time traveling with her husband until his death in 2002. Elsie did volunteer work for St. Johns Hospital and volunteered at the Bargain Basement at Methodist Manor where she lived later in life. She is survived by son Robert Kuck and his wife Margi, son Gary Kuck and his wife Elise, and daughter Linda Casey and her husband Michael. She has seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
