Emilia Schmidt, 91, of Tulsa, Ok passed away on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015. She was born in Villa Opicina, Italy in the hills above Trieste to Giusto and Vremez Rauber. She is survived by her sons Richard, Carl and Edward Jr.; grandchildren Adam, Erin, Megan, Paul, Elizabeth, Ryan and Elinor; great-grandchildren Addison, Brayden, Caden, Carson, Chandler, Cole, Kennedy and Anna; daughter-in-laws Donna, Diane and Kim; grand daughter-in-law Lindsey and grand son-in-laws Jared and Rodney. Mrs. Schmidt was married for 52 years to Edward A. Schmidt, her beloved "Eddie", who passed in 2001 and she was the mother of Paul Schmidt, who passed in 1978 at the age of 22. She cherished the roles of mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and spread joy through her wit, caring and phenomenal Italian cooking. As a survivor of World II, later a naturalized U.S. citizen, a wife to a career military man and mother to four boys, her life was a full, loving and diverse one. Mrs. Schmidt passed on her zest for life and love of Jesus Christ to her family and extended family and her wonderful values will live on through them.
