Obituary

Ernest Ray Dean, Sr. was born on December 12, 1943 to Richard Paul & Edith Gaye Dean in Duncan, Oklahoma where he went to elementary and high school.
He moved to Tulsa where he would frequent a little cafe' on Greenwood and saw a waitress who later became the love of his life, Wanda. They later got married and raised two children. Jacquitta "Jackie" Antionette Cade and Earnest Ray Dean, Jr. He worked for the City of Tulsa and retired after 34 years.
Ernest had a desire to preach early on as a boy. He then later started his ministry under the leadership of brother R.D. Walker. Where they traveled on weekends to places such as Muskogee and several other towns in Oklahoma.
He later felt that he needed to be more educated in his Christian education. He started attending Owasso School of Biblical Studies in Owasso, Oklahoma that sparked his desire even more to preach and teach. He believed that one of the greatest missions as a preacher is to teach and preach the great commission. He and Wanda traveled throughout Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and other places teaching people to obey the gospel which became a passion of theirs. They loved visiting church members and teaching people about Christ. They carried the gospel wherever they went and some obeyed the teachings. They went about carrying God's message for twenty five years.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda and two children Jacquitta A. Cade (Shawn) of Tulsa and Earnest Ray Dean, Jr of Tulsa, six grandchildren, Tiffani Brown (Apollo) Collinsville, Stephen Combs Jr. (Shanice), Erik Dean (Jordan), Brandee Dean, Raylee Dean, & Rayden Dean all of Tulsa and twenty great grand children, whom he loved dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents Richard Paul and Edith Dean. Brothers Richard Dean, Jr., Emanuel Dean and Leonard Dean, and sisters, Gladys Gaston, Frances Jackson, and Jan Elaine Dean. He is survived by one sister Brenda Hollaway (Benjamin) of Goldsboro, NC.
