Esther Collins, 80, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at her residence in Tulsa, OK. She was born in Battle Creek, MI on August 6, 1938, to Leo William and Pauline Reese Homan. Esther married the love of her life, Paul Randel Collins, on July 27, 1963, and they were happily married 32 years, when God called him home on April 9,1996. She was a retired bookkeeper, and an Avon Sales Representative for 35 years. Anyone that knew Esther knew she had a "sweet tooth," loved to eat candy and sherbet, and liked working on and solving puzzle books. She attended Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church in Sperry, OK, and enjoyed watching "The 700 Club" on television. Esther loved people and had a kind, generous, giving spirit, and valued her friendships and relationships with family. As a person who lived her faith, she was known for countless acts of generosity and kindness, many of which we will never know. She exemplified grace and love towards everyone, and in everything she did. Esther had a steadfast faith and was an especially loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and faithful friend. She took great pride in her family and always gave unconditional love and encouragement. Always there with a loving heart and guiding hands, she will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but her spirit and memories will live on within each of us, because we were privileged to have her in our lives. There is no doubt that Esther will be rewarded to hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant," and we who are saved and know the Lord, have joy in our hearts, resting in the assurance we will be with her again, in Heaven, one day soon. What a day, glorious day that will be!
Esther is survived by 3 sons, Randy Collins of Tulsa, OK, Gerald Collins and wife, Nita of Dallas, GA, and Terry Collins and wife, Kelly of Ft. Worth, TX; 3 daughters, Bonnie Brooks and husband, Jasper of Tulsa, OK, Paula Walker and husband, Chad of Melbourne, AR, and Clemda White of Tulsa, OK; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Robert Homan and wife, Phyllis of Belview, MI, and Bill Homan of Mendon, MI; 2 sisters, Velma Allabaugh of Scottsdale, AZ, and Joyce Wieas of Battle Creek, MI; many nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
